Searching for any leads on Great Grandfathers lineage. He was born 1896 in Smolyarne,Poland. His family came over from Belarus approx 1905, were in Chicago briefly, then settled in CT. and MA.His mothers maiden name was HLEBOUSKI. He also had two brothers, Harry and Steve. All of them changed thier names upon arrival to america, last name might have been KARCHEUSKI previously.(As what has been translated from his birth certificate-written in russian cyrillic) His first name originally was Zigmund, later changed to William Zigmund, his father's Andrje- later Andrew, mother's Luduik, later Lucy. I have reason to believe none of them became US citizens. I believe Andrew and Lucy owned property in the Norwich CT area, circa 1910-1960 era) I very much appreciate any leads anyone might have! thank you! feel free to e-mail me directly.
