My grandfather was Albert Koski who died aged 70 on the tenth November 1937 in the St. Marylebone district of London. He lived at 17 New Quebec Street near Marble Arch. I believe the name Koski was a shortened form of Kocielkowski. I believe he was Jewish. He was married to Celestine Bechoffer, A French Protestant from Alsace. The family later anglicized the name to Crossley. I do not know my grandfather's origins. I did search the appropriate birth records in London but could not find him making me suspect he came of an immigrant family. As Whitechapel is not far from St. Marylebone and the name is unusual it is possible there is a connection. Unfortunately I do not know his antecedents
