My family owned land in the Austrohungarian empire in what is today Uzhorod in the Ukraine. My father was born there and left for the Czech Republic after the
Soviets took the land in 1945.My grandmother was from a Hungarian family,Kovacs hers was also a landed family. The Oller land stretched along the Uz river & the
family owned more than the church did! I have no idea how my family got there. If anyone can let me know then please do so! I know that my greant grandfather
stayed in the US for about 5 years in a place called "branch" or something like that. Our family has a title of nobility from Spain and in 1912 the title of baron was
bestowed by the Vatican, the most famous Oller I know of is Narciso Oller Nidal who was a writer and taught Emile Zola. Also in the 12th century a Raymundo
Oller was the grand master of the Templar Knights in Tarragona area. I want more than anything to know how my family came to Uzhorod! We have much
information on us, but this episode we cannot seem to find information forPLEASE get in touch with me if you can help in any way whatsoever! They all spoke Hungarian in Uzhorod/Ungvar.
