Sharon - no direct connection but probably a connection back in the old country. My grandfather Louis Kozar (probably Lajos) came to Pennsylvania in the early 1900's, married my grandmother Julia Bedek ( her name shows as Borbala Bedek on Ellis Island records). They were from a town which my grandmother pronounced "Boretcha" - appears possibly to be the same town you are referring to. I have not made it back very far on this side of the family. My grandmother's maiden name sounded like Potchitchneck or Passitchnak - something like that. They spoke a language called "Wendish". I know my grandfather Louis Kozar came from a very large family but I believe many of his siblings went to South America and do not know what happened to them later. That is all I know at this point. My grandfather died when I was 5 years old but they spent their time here in Bethlehem, Pa., Pittsburgh, Pa., and Miami, Fort Lauderdale Florida. If you see any connection, I would appreciate if you would advise me. Thanks - gretchen
