Peter Kozar Slovakia thinking of the origin of the name

Hello my name is Peter Kozar spelled Kožár in Slovakia. My great great grand father was working in USA in Chicago and also in Argentina. I come from Slovakia and theres where my family I think is from or they been living here for many generations. Interesting thing is when I read your posts is that our name have something incommon and that is the fact that all of you have roots in the same geographic location. Croatia, Turkey (came from Greece and Balkans), Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Austria... most of them formal Uhorsko (medieval state). I would really like to find out where the name is originaly from. If you have any historical documents or anything please tell me about them and I will try to do some research. My guess is ...the name must have origins in some of the countries mentioned above.

If you have anything interesting please post. Looking forward to hear about it.
