Russell, did you ever get a reply to your request? I called Edith and Fred - Aunt and Uncle [Great that
is]. David who has posted here in the past is their son. He and my father Richard are "double"
cousins - what pray tell is that? 2 Krasser brothers married 2 Laney sisters . . . so any offspring
would be cousins 2 ways . . . the closest blood relative after siblings.
William [Bill] Krasser married Avice Laney [my grandparents]
Fred Krasser married Edith Laney [my Great Aunt and Uncle]
As far as the "Cash" connection - I do not know too much, but I think the
family bible might contain some information. All I really remember hearing is that
the "C" in J.C. Penney stood for "Cash". Mom and Dad might know more . . . I'll ask
next time I talk to them on the phone [they are still in Mo.] but I'm in San Francisco.
