Kraynick v. Krajynik

My great-grandfather was Janos (John) Krajnyik. He came to U.S. in the 1880s and was supposed to have died in a coal mining accident in Ohio 1888 when my great-grandmother was on the ocean coming to join him. She then went to live with relatives in Duquesne, Pa. for a time. Do you know where your Kraynick family was from and if this is the original spelling? There are Krajnyiks who Americanized the name to Kraynick. Please e-mail me about this.
