It is a long shot. My greatgrandfather was John Krell. The family story was that he stowed away on a boat from Germany when he was about 13years old. I know nothing of what part of Germany or parents of siblings. I don't even know were he came into the U.S. He settled in DeSoto county Florida.

He had a son named after him and a son named Fredrick.
