I am researching the Krichbaum family for a dear friend of mine Jeannie Krichbaum Cowsert. Her parents were from Rock Springs Wyoming, however, her grandfather Gotlieb Krichbaum was born in Germany and immigtated to the United States in 1883. (Gotlieb changed his name to George)

I have traced Gotlieb Krichbaum as far as the 1900 census, and since there is no 1890 census, I am not sure as to where the family may have went after arriving in NY and eventually migrating to their final destination of Rock Springs, WY to work in the coal mines.

Goblieb Krichbaum married a young lady named Mary Crawford somewhere in the Unites States. The Federal Census sometimes indicates that she was born in Germany, and at other times there are indications that she may have been born in Ohio.

The reason I am reaching out to you is because the possibility exists that maybe Gotlieb met and married Mary in Ohio. I feel this may be a possibility since I see similarites in the given names of the Wyoming Krichbaums, that you show on the message board for your Ohio Krichbaums.

Gotlieb's father's name was Philip, and he also named his children, Elizabeth and William.

By any chance, do you know of any ancestors that migrated to Wyoming? If not, are you missing any ancestors that suddenly disappeared around 1890-1900?

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
