I am married to George Krise, formerly of South London, England. We now reside in Southern Ireland. He/we and his family (mother and various aunts/uncles in the UK and also Canada) pronounce Krise as in 'Rise' with a K. Although admittedly, people who do not know us, always want to spell it with a "C" (and not K) and always pronounce it "Chris". We do not bother correcting them now.....

Krise is a very unusual name - where in the world do you reside?
