Krise to Crise Surname Change
Posted by: Don Date: July 26, 1999 at 04:38:10

I have heard a story of 5 immigrant brothers from Germany who had originally migrated from Ireland/Scotland, upon arriving in Germany the brothers changed their surname spelling to Krise to better fit in, once they immigrated to the USA some brothers changed the speeling back to Crise while some remained Krise. Can anyone verify that?
I ran across a census report that listed a Henry K. Crise and a Henry C.Krise as the same person, so there is a deffinate connection. HELP PLEASE!!! don
