Is there any chance the name could have been Krucek? My Krucek ancestors were from Bohemia, near Tyn nad Vlatvou, Smilovice in Sirociny. This area is south and east of Pilsen. I have research from Czech Republic for my ancestors. Have not found a John or Jan that would fit your date, however. Let me know if I can help you further. Anne
