This is a pretty late follow-up but ....
My name is Kathy Chappell. As I was going through my grandma Chappell pictures I came across a picture of a man, the back of which says "Mr John Krohn" I don't know how is connected with my family but this is all I know so far of the Chappells in Muskegon MI.
My father is William H Chappell b 1919, his father was Lewis Chappell born 1879 and m. to Tracey Topper b.1881. Lewis's father was William W and mother was Minnie Swarthout.
My grandmother Tracey topper parents were
Simon and Lydia Topper
