My great-grandfather, Johann Frederick C. Krohn came to the
US with his wife and 3 children. They left Hamburg, Germany and arrived in New York on June 16, 1881. Johann was from Mecklenburg. John C., my grandfather became a
US citizen in 1885. There are many descendents in this area.
