My grandfather Frank Gertz's mother was Dina Krohn (Krone). She married Friederich Johann Gertz 6-2-1869 in Iowa, possibly Scott or Louisa co. Iowa - Davenport or Muscatine. I have her b 1-30-1852 in Hanover Germany d 1-24-1925 in Davenport, Iowa. Came to US 1852 at 5 mo. of age. However IA State Census says b 1853 d 1-1-1925 Buffalo, Scott Co. Iowa. Arrived US 11-22-1852 (which is hard to do) Departed Bremen Germany on Ship Hannah Crocker, arrived NY Natl. Archives M259_37. I have names and dates for their 12 children if this part of your family. Contact me through this site.
