I was suspecting the same thing that they were probably cousins, I just can't find any proof. Heinrich came from Mecklenburg, Germany too but I don't know the year.

I vaguely remember my grandfather stating that the German side of the family lived near Kassel, Germany which is about 200 miles or 339 km from Mecklenburg.

Were you able to find any further records from Germany? Thanks for your help.
