Neils-Ole, I am interested in your family history a great deal. I don't know that we have a connection, but there is a definite maybe. Alvina Krohn, my husband's grandmother, daughter of William Krohn and grandaughter of Peter Krohn, always said that her connections were somewhere in Europe, she didn't know where. Her family settled in Minnesota and then she married a Krahn and lived in Chicago suburbs for most of her adult life. Her daughter-in-law's sister married a Freund. So with you mentioning your connection to Herman Freund Krohn, you can see why I am curious about a possible connection. Her mother was Ida Wills and William and Ida's children besides Alvina were Henry, Otto, Ellen, William H., Laurence F., and Elsie. William was born January 2, 1868. Peter was born in 1829. Peter married Sophia Koppleman and besides William their children were Fred, Christian and Lewis (maybe Lenirs) Gera(o)lock Krohn. Most of the family stayed in and around the Chicago area. Does any of this fit into your family history somewhere? Would appreciate any help you can give. Deborah
