My great grandfather came to the U.S. in the 1860's and settled in the Chicago area in Roseland and became one of the first teachers in the area. He had three children with his first wife and after she died he remarried to Grietje De Jong. There were two children with the second wife, my grandfather being one of them. They moved to Kansas or Missouri and that is the connection I am looking for
