Hi Liz,

I have the family you mentioned, on censusr record in 1900 Washington Co, Tx.
Father Fritz, mother Caroline, children Lena and Fritz.

Fritz indicates he immigrated in 1883, which was 14 years after my Albertine & William were here. However, from the ages, your Fritz could be brother to my Albertine. 4 yrs age difference. Just took him a little longer to get here.

I don't know how common the Krugmann name is, but could be a possible connection. I need to do some more digging.

As for the Sommerfeldt, it is probably the same as Sommerfeld, Sommerfield, etc....the spelling has varied. But we haven't found a connection to Julius Sommerfeldt. There are quite a few Sommerfeld/Sommerfeldt names in the Fayette and Washington County areas, but we haven't found a connection yet. I think we have to go to Germany to find it.

Keep in touch....I have been pretty busy lately, but will do some more digging on the Krugmann line.
