sorry I am so late,hadn't checked messages here in a long time. I see you did get some information. My grandfather's family was from Simonswold. He actually lived other places in Germany before coming to America with his wife and children sometime before 1912. His name is Gerhard Folkert Krull, born June 15,1890 , his siblings names are Johann, Wilhelm, Hinrich Jantzen, and Catherina Margaretha Krull, none of whom emigrated to America. His father's name Jan Hinderks Krull . I have several generations back. Their last name was not Krull until they had to register a last name in the middle 1800's. Before that it was Ayels,Klaatzen and Hayen, often son's taking their father's last name for their first name. There is a Simonswold book on the Ostfriesland website.
