Dear Alex,
I was some weeks offline and today I will answer your questions. The oldest Krull of my family I found in a document from 1436, he was a farmer.Another document exists from 1285 - not my family - he was a squire and perhaps he had the Family Crest you mentioned; see MUB (Mecklenburger Urkundenbuch)#1817 or in the Jahrbuch für Mecklenburgische Geschichte # 52 page 124 :Die Wappen bis 1360 by Dr. Paul Crull. Another family Crull with a big tree and a crest was researched by the Sanitätsrat Dr. Paul Crull=Rostock and as a manuskript printed 1931 by Gustav Willgeroth= Wismar, 92 pages Din A5 ; also available in the bibliothek in Salt Lake City, look into the index for Willgeroth. There are other old families in Mecklenburg mentioned with the begin of the church books and in the tax list before the church books. Best greeting from Hans Jürgen Krull
