Scoliosis among LA Krumholz Family?
Posted by: Kristen Dean-Grossmann Date: January 15, 2001 at 04:59:53

I understand that the name Krumholz means "crooked." In fact, the name given to the phenomenon of trees at high altitudes bent and gnarled by the wind is the "Krumholz Effect." I am descended from the Krumholz and Unbehagen families in Louisiana in the 19th century, and we have had repeated incidences from generation to generation of scoliosis, or curvature of the spine. Has this been found in other branches of the family?
