I am related to several Krumholz's from Detroit. My grandmother was Rose Krumholz (b.1880-d.1943 in Detroit)...and my great grandfather was Anton Krumholz (b. 1840 in Buffalo, NY. - d. December 5, 1905 in Detroit). He married Helen Steinberg abt. 1867 in Monroe County, Michigan.

I've also heard the same story about a farm owned by the Krumholz's from my father a long time ago but can't seem to track it down.

Also, some of these Krumholz's lived in Monroe County in the 1860's prior to moving to Detroit around 1873 and were active in St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Jay street in Detroit.

Other Krumholz names I've found, but can't confirm as relatives are: Joseph G. Krumholz (listed on the 1880 Wayne County, Detroit census as 50 years old), John Joseph Krumholz (b. December 16, 1872 in Monroe County, Michigan).

Conrad Krumholz, who died on Dec. 7, 1907, in Detroit, in an industrial accident, was my great uncle. Some of these Krumholz's are also listed in the 1890-91 Detroit City Directory.

If any of these names ring a bell, let me know...I will let you know if I find anything on this "farm" story.
