Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

It never occured that I should search for Crumholt. The records I've found of my grandmother's marriage indicated the "K"... and that tale about Uncle Gillie changing from "K" to "C" because of an argument over a cattle brand was told everywhere.

I have Sierra Family Tree 5.2 And will certainly go back to the "search" mode. The Francis/Frank and Hester/Esther coincidence is pretty compelling. In your research did you come across an "Arness" ... brother of Francis?

Hope you've gotten the photo from your "hotmail" address.
