Franz, Thank you for the information. I noticed in one of your posts that You can contact the Atchison Library for obituaries... they keep them on microfilm and can print out copies. Do you have that phone #. I would like to get a copy of my grandmother's obituary, she died in April 1944, when I was 18 dys old.
My dad, when he was a young man, was building a grain elavator in Atchison, fell and was in a body cast for a year. My 'future' uncle, was a boy then, playing in the back yard when it happened and saw the fall. Yrs later when mother was dating dad,(late 30's)Uncle Cliff asked him about the man who fell, wanted to know if he survived the fall. Uncle Cliff was surprised that Dad had lived thru that fall.!!!
