Seeking info for family of James Marion French b. 27 Sept 1860 in Ralls, MO to John William and Isabelle Hager/Hagar French. James m. Martha E "Mattie" Wood on 29 Sept 1889 in Manning, Scott Co, KS. Mattie was the dau of John Nelson Wood and Elvira Ann Smith of Little River, Rice Co, KS. Mattie was b. ca 1864 probably in Bethany, Harrison Co, MO and d. after July 1956 possibly in Kiowa, Barber Co, KS (last known residence). About 1910 James and Mattie sold their grocery store in Crawford, Rice Co, KS and moved to Hoisington, Barton Co, KS where they were still found in Feb 1925. Any info on this family would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks!
