I have an Ellinwood Echoes book which contains biographical sketches of some of the early residents. There is a Meyer family listed with several children.

In summary: F.P. and Anna Meyer immigrated from Germany in 1883. F.P. and Anna had seven children: Bruno, George, Bill, Henry, John, Peter, and Fred. Sons Bruno, George and Bill moved to Haviland, Kansas. There is even a photo of the Meyer family.

If this sounds like it could be your family, I'd be happy to send you more information from the book I have.
