Hello from Hutchinson,KS, Erik! I grew up in the rural Burrton area and am quite familiar with the Milburn Stone persona. My sister and her family lived in Burrton for about 15 years (for awhile they lived in the "Stone" house!), and she knows of some Stone descendants who still live there. I don't know if they would be able to help you as it appears from my preliminary research that Ed Kennedy was from the Belfield side rather than the Stone side. Can you give me more info on how he is related to the Stones? How is he related to Milburn Stone? Another of Milburn's cousins married into my family as well. Unfortunately, lack of memory has befallen her in her old age. I ran a quick search on the Midwest Historial and Genealogical Society (Wichita) web site for a Ed Kennedy marriage circa 1915 and came up blank. If he married in Harvey CO, it would be necessary to go to Newton. A lot of the Burrton folks married in Reno CO (Hutchinson is closer than Newton). I'll try to check some microfilm at the library. For its centennial in 1973, the city of Burrton published a historical booklet which contains a nice bio of Milburn Stone. It mentions the Belfields. Can you give me any more info?? Where and when did Ed Kennedy die?? Have you looked for an obit? Hope I can be of help! Susan Notify Administrator about this message?
