Dear Peggie,
The Messenger family I am from never stayed in the area of Republic County. I am looking for the grave of Eliza Ross and her Husband Jacob Ross Jr. Eliza name was Elizabeth Ann Barnes who married (Rufus) Milo Messenger in NY in 1825 and then he died in in Peoria Co., IL in 1936 then she married Jacob Ross Jr. around the same time in Peoria Co., IL. The moved to Stark Co., IL until about 1872 when they traveled to live in the same area of Norway or Scandia and at the end of their lived with The Walters family of Republic or Washington Co., Kansas I am looking for their headstones or information on them.
