Vital records were created as part of a civil registration to collect information on population growth and causes of death to control epidemic's.
Kansas didn't officially start collecting birth and death records until July 1, 1911.
Order Margaret Locken's death cert. from the county of death in KS. Cert. should show parents names as well as place of birt; provided the informant knew that info.
