I am looking for the Parents of Robert Bruce Barton (born 7/24/1839). Some reference list his birth as 1841. He apparently moved from somewhere in Indiana to Trading Post Kansas after 1865 and was married to Charity Francis Hinds October 9, 1866. His family members had homes in both Missouri (Amoret) and Kansas (Trading Post and Pleasanton). He served in the Unions 6th Calvary companies D and I from 1862 to 1865 and then mustered out at Deville Arkansas. He is buried in Pleasanton Cemetry Pleasanton, Kansas The couples children included Jesse Bruce born 10/19/1867 died 3/4/1952 -married to Caroline/Carrie Nancy (Stockstill) and Jesses twin (Edward who died at birth), John Washington born 2/14/1870 died ?-married to Margaret Jane (Haynes), Reese William born 5/8/1878 died 12/25/1956-married to Artie Ethel (Hawk). I am his great grandson "J" "B" Barton son of Roy William Barton and grandson of Jesse Bruce Barton. I would appreciate any information regarding my great grandfather Robert Bruce Barton's parents, other ancestors and early hometown, etc.
I have some additional family history and some pictures and other associated documents.
