I'm not related, just trying to help.

You can view Robert's death certificate on the Missouri State Archives web site. He died August 26, 1918 in Bates Co, MO. It says his father's name was Robert Barton from Pennsylvania. Charity and some of their children's death certificates are also listed.

I have looked and can't find a Robert Barton from PA that could be your Robert's father. Sometimes the information in death certificates is incorrect.
