James Caldwell is the brother of my Great-Great Grandfather Parris Caldwell and he was born 1854 and died Sept 3 1905 at Mentor, Kansas - Saline County. His wife was Susan M. Wilson, they married at Moundville, West Virgina 23 March 1872. She was born 1855 in West Virginia. I have a copy of the newspapers articles that was published in the Salina Paper about the murder. Their children- Charles b. 1873; Harry b. 1875; Clyde b. 1883; Wilbur b. ?; Ina b. 1885; Bertha b. ?; Lena b. 1888; Earl b. 1892. James and Parris's parents were according to what information that an Aunt had is John and Jane (McCleary0. But I have not proven this. There are to many Johns and Janes in the family.
