John W. Kucher (son of Charles) was my great grandfather. He died in Seattle in 1975 when I was 5 years old. He owned Olympic foundry, the largest on the West coast.
Elva Ekenstam was the daughter of John and Anna Ekenstam, a pioneering family on Anderson Island in Puget Sound. See "Island in the Sound", Hazel Heckman, 1967, for a beautifully written account of the history and culture of Northwest frontier life on this little island.
I am also interested to learn more about Charles Kucher - where he came from, how he got to Seattle, etc.
