E. Kuhn, 1840's, to CA Gold Rush on Parker French wagon train

Looking for information on a man by the name of E. Kuhn (spelling uncertain). I have a bit of information on this Mr. Kuhn, who is mentioned in my g-g-grandfather's journal (David Cooper), soon to be published. They went west on the Parker H. French wagon train to the California Gold Rush (1850). I would like to find out more about this Mr. Kuhn if he can be identified.
