I have been using the Morman site to trace my Kuhn Family, also from Wuerttemberg area. Are you still living in Germany? My Kuhn Family lived in Pike County/Scioto County, Ohio for three generations, from mid 1800 to present day. On the Morman site, I found my gggrandfather in the German Bible records born in 1825. His father was Johann Franz Kuhn, in Katholisch, Braunsbach, Jagstkreis, Wuerttemberg. Do you know why there are so many city names? Or, are these the names of areas in Wuerttemberg? I have not been able to find any information on Johann on the Morman site. An early history of my Kuhn family starts with Simon Chun, born in 1539, in Riederich, Schwarzwald, Wuerttemberg. The family has been traced from Simon to John Melchoir Kuhn, born 30 Oct. 1728. He had three sons and I have not been able to find any information on any of them. In your book of the Kuhn Family does any of the information go back to Germany? The family stayed in the same area Metzingen, Wuerttemberg. They were Catholic until the early 1600 then became Lutheran sometime around 1617 because the son of Simon was married in the Lutheran church on 18 Jul, 1617. I know this may be usless info for you, but I was hoping you might check to see if you have any info on this line: Simon, Daniel, Georg (Jerg), Johannes Friedrich, Georg Ernst, Johann Melchoir.

Thanks for any help or information.
