Balthasar / Balthazar / Balser Kuhns 1749 ship
Posted by: Cheryl Bloomfield (ID *****5957) Date: November 29, 2009 at 21:20:47

1749 Ship "Charles Town Galley"
Georgia Salzburger Settlers
Kuhn, Balthasar Departed to Congaress, S.C.

Looking for more information on the above Balser / Balthasar Kuhn.

There are many, many spelling variations of Koontz.

We are wondering if he is the same Balser Counts / Koonse who lived in Pugh's Run, Frederick, MD and Brock's Gap, Rockingham Co. between 1766 and 1790's before moving to Greenbrier Co. early 1800. His son, Henry (m. Susannah Schaeffer / Shafer) lived in the same areas. Christian Kouns m. Anna Lamp is a possible son also.
Thank you,
Cheryl Bloomfield
