John,
I am a decendant of Peter John Dreher from Oldenburg (Birkenfeld). I recently found the spouse of Peter's sister Louisa was Louis Kuhnel using some St. Clair Co., ILL marriage/baptismal records at the Seattle Public Library. It looks like we are distantly related. I've recently tried to locate more info on the Kuhnel's in the Fed Census with no luck.
I've been trying to figure out more about the Birkenfeld ancestors, and have requested (Interlibrary loan) a couple of volumes reportedly documenting immigration lists to the St. Clair region.
