Hello Richard,

I am now back at my home in Poulsbo, Washington...

Are you still researching the KUJAT lines?

Just to update you, or refresh your memory:
Perl Nowak married a Kujat.
My NOWAK-KUJAT line is from Posen/Poznan, Poland...and this Wisniewski line connects with a NOWAK line which settled in Pennsylvania. Two of the sons from this family came to Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.

This group first settled in Freeland, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania...then two boys (John and Carl/Jan and Karol) traveled on to Milwaukee County in the early 1900's--to get away from the coal mines.

I do not know if this marriage took place in Poland/Germany or in Pennsylvania in the late 1800's.
Andrew Petta used to refer to one of the Kujat's as "The Blackman", because his beard would grow in so fast and so thick. Andrew said that is was coarse and growing out within just a few hours after his shave. " His name was Carl Kujat

I have a wedding picture with Sophie, Helen, Winnie, Victoria, Julia, Stella and Jack Kujat.

According to 1920 Census for Cudahy, John Kujat and Charles Kujat are listed as nephews living in the household of Jon Wisniewski (who married a sister of Perl Nowak named Eleanor) at 106 Barnard Avenue, Cudahy, Wisconsin.
One is aged 27--making him born about 1893, and the other is aged 29--making him born about 1891

I have been able to locate and take pictures of the graves of John B. KUJAT and Carl KUJAT, which are located at Wood Veteran's Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI. They are the children of John Kujat and Pearl Kujat (nee Nowak). I found them on the 1910 census living with Jan and Eleanor WISNIEWSKI (nee NOWAK) in Cudahy, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. They are listed as nephews to the head of household.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
