If I haven't previously replied to your message, the reason I felt Jacob wasn't related to the Mennonies is that most of them would have already emigrated to PA before he was born. The 1800 census stated he was born in Germany not Skipjack, PA or the surrounding areas where they lived from the early 1700's. In his will dated 1821 his wife was named Ann. However, he did name one of his offspring Dielman which confuses the issue since that was one of the family given names.
