Searching for information on Kulps in Montgomery Co., PA
I I have traced Rachel Kulp, born 1881 in/of Gwynedd, Montgomery Co., PA (m. William Clark) to her Parents Nathan and Mary Ann Kulp who appear in the censuses in Gwynedd and No. Wales, Montgomery Co., PA. I havent been able to find parents for Nathan..and by any spelling cannot find a Nathan Kulp/Kolb/Culp in all of PA, prior to the 1860 census, although he was born in PA and probably in Montgomery Co. He d. before 1880 in No. Wales, Montgomery Co., PA

I have been thinking that Nathan might have been a middle name and that he might have been the son of Benjamin Isaac Kolb and Ellen/Eleanor Hoxworth of Gwynedd. I also found a older couple, Jacob, age 63 and Rachel, age 59. Culp, in Gwynedd, 1850. From the censuses from 1860 on, Nathan appears to have been born about 1815. I believe his wife's mn was Kneedler, as this family lives next door in 1860 and closeby in 1870 in Gwynedd and No. Wales censuses, and the naming of children in the families overlap. I have added some of the census data below.

1850 Gwynedd, Montgomery, PA
Jacob Culp 63, farmer all b. PA
Rachel 59
Sylvester Freede 5

Nathan Kulp/Culp/Kolb so far not found in 1850...would be about 35
