Dear Gary,

Thank you so much for helping to clear up this (to me) mystery. You have been so helpful, that I would wish I could claim you as a relative. Alas, as far as I know I have no Kolb/Kulp/Culp ancestors or relatives. My own ancestors that come from Germany or Switzerland were either Amish (emigrated 1700s to PA) or Mennonite (emigrated 1800s directly to OH, and never lived in PA). My interest in the Kulps comes about because I volunteer with the OMII Genealogy project
and my current "job" is to enter all the people who appear in the Fretz books (3 of them) And there are Kulps all over those books, along with other names, of course, such as Kratz, Beidler, Price, Clemmer, Clemens, Oberholtzer, etc. You can find me among those in the membership lists there. It has not been updated to say that I have worked on the Lengacher-Steury book, the Berkey Book (red or second edition) nor the Fretz (and possibly in the future, Fretz related books) The information will eventually appear on line, and be accessible to all, but we are having some troubles with merging the databases from all who participate--well, we can merge, them, but getting rid of the huge numbers of duplicates is the difficulty. But that is what we are striving for. I decided I wanted to help because the site was helpful to me and (as you might imagine, I am probably distantly related to a large majority of those that are volunteering with me. My own parents are Brethren--missionaries in Nigeria, actually from 1962-1985, but came to the Brethren church within the last few generations from the Mennonites, etc. I would be happy to help you with anything that I might be able to within the scope of the Fretz books--or anything else I might have. This Fretz data is being entered in the same database as the Berkey info was. So currently I have 37,000 and I still have a long ways to go.

Thanks again for you help. IF I can return the favor, let me know.
