I am in possession of a Bible "bought in 1889" and "finished for the 10th time" in 1938 that belonged to A E Kunkle, who I assume to be Annie E Kunkle referenced in newspaper clip pasted into the Bible. An obituary for "John Kunkle" lists his residence of 50 years as Boiling Springs, but suggests he was "about" 80 at death. Internment is Springville (cemetary); he was member of Dunkard Church. Obit says he leaves a widow & 6 children. Could this be your John Lewis Kunkle to Anna Elizabeth Ritter? My mystery association is that my maternal grandmother and her sisters (surname Keck) are listed under "Births" in this Bible. They are all from the Reading area...
