Does anyone know what the connection is between the Kunkle line and the Peters/Koenigs in Westmoreland County, Pa from about 1800 forward? I have Mathias Peters married to Christina Koenig early 1800s with a slew of kids. Children start picking up the middle name Kunkle. I also have the following pieces of information:

In 1840 census Mathias PETERS is followed by John B. KUNKLE, also on the same page there are three other KUNKLE families, Sebastian KUNKLE Jr., Jacob KUNKLE, and John L. KUNKLE.

A John Kunkle (Gunkel) was born to Sebastian & Catharina on 12/17/1798.

Jacob Kunkle was born to Sebastian and Catharina Kunkle on 07/06/1797.

John L Kunkle was born John Lorentz and was born to Peter and Elizabeth Kunkle on 04/17/18.

Does this ring any bells for anyone? Thanks
