A recent private email message to me concerning the surnames KUNKLE and FISCUS led me to stop by the Kunkle forum on Genforum today. I noticed that another researcher wrote back to you in 2000 and offered to exchange information clear back to Prussia.

Not to muddy the waters, but have you located many with the surname FISCUS in your research in Pennsylvania? The reason I ask is that two men named Gerhardt FISCUS and Johann Frederich FISCUS immigrated from the Palantinate in Germany in 1743 on the Loyal Judith. (I don't know if they were related, but I do know that Johann Frederich FISCUS and Anna Elisabetha SCHWIND had three girls baptized in Ober-Saulheim, Germany before they immigrated.) There was a KUNKLE on that same ship. Gerhardt FISCUS eventually moved to the Montgomery/Westmoreland, Pennsylvania area. Is that close to your Indiana County?

There is a web site I will need to look up that links some of those who immigrated on the Loyal Judith, especially the Weisskopf (Whitehead) family. Sometimes family members and neighbors immigrated as a group, so I offer this information...just in case.
