My great-grandfather Josef Kunschik came to this country
in 1883 or about. He came from the Village of Dietz inthe
empire of Austria by the way of Port Bremen to the port of
Galveston Texas. He settled in Fayette County, Texas in a little town called Cistern.

It is believed he arrived with his six children, one of which was my grandfather, Joseph Kunschik. There was no
mention of a wife coming to America.

If you have any information or can help with other web
sites or places to check, please let me know. It will be
appreciated.
Thanks Maxine Kunschik Vana
