I hesitate to post a reply because this original message is so old. My mother is a Kunschick. Her father Edward "Eddie" Kunschick died when she was 2 months old in Aug. 1941. His father was Frank Kunschick born in about 1880. His mother was Katherine "Kate" Schmidt. Frank's father, I believe, was Joseph Kunschick & was in the Bastrop Texas area around the turn of the century. Josesph Kunschick had several children. I am planning a trip soon to Bastrop County to do some additional research because a trip of about a year ago failed to turn up my grandfather's birth certificate although his siblings had certificates filed. If you are still interested in information & I find anything I'll be glad to share.
