Josef Kunschik was also my great grandfather. He did have a wife who came to America with him. Her name was Theresa Schmidt Kunschik. They were married in 1872, but she filed for and was granted a divorce in 1905. She was the mother of Theresa, Annie, Robert, Edward, Julius, and Mary. Children that came with them that were Josef's by a previous marriage were Josef, Jr., Frank, and Louie, I believe. I'll have to double-check my notes. Theresa stayed in Bastrop County after their divorce and Josef eventually moved to Fayette County with Josef, Jr. I have copies of their divorce papers that are filed at the Bastrop County Courthouse. I would be interested in sharing information.
