Hi. My great great grandfather was named William Kunz b. Germany. He lived in Burlington, IA. Originally he farmed north of town and later kept a butcher shop in town. I'm not sure of his dates, but his daughter, Emma Kunz (b. around 1855) m. Augustus Hackman around 1875. He had 7-9 children who stayed near Iowa. I have no idea how William came to Iowa. I've always assumed it was up the Mississippi River from St. Louis that was heavily populated with Germans. Don't know if that helps.Good luck! Jill
