I came up with a "Kuzmak" in Bever Co. Pa. d:1909, while trying to find my "real" grandfather who was killed in in Bever Co. Pa. when my mom was 10 month's old, she took her stepdad's name Rodenz and her real name was lost in time. They were all from Austria-Hungrey and my mom taught them english as she learned it in school. Some kin say the "Rodenz" was not the real name but the teacher spelled it that way and it stayed with them, new life, new name. It sure makes it hard on us who want to know our kin.
